Abstract:
                                      Based  on  the  structural  feature  of  roller  compacted  concrete  dam,  3  D  elastic  plastic  finite  element  method  (FEM)  analysis  of  roller  compacted  concrete  (RCC)  arch  dam  is  carried  out,  the  equivalent  deformation  model  and  equivalent  elastic  matrix  are  developed.  The  method  using  pressured  dam  element  at  key  bedding  joint  and  dam  element  at  other  dam  body  is  proposed  to  model  RCC  dam.  Based  on  smeared  cracking  model,  four  parameter  criterion,  Mohr  Coulumb  criterion  and  Drucker  Prager  criterion  are  used  to  simulate  nonlinear  feature  of  dam  body,  bedding  joint  and  foundation.  At  last,  the  nonlinear  FEM  analysis  of  Shapai  RCC  Arch  Dam  is  presented.
